Volcanoes, skyscrapers and rooftops. The unique skyline of Mexico City in a ceramic and steel spice rack design.

To celebrate their 20th anniversary, GMD, the Mexican Gallery of Design invited selected designers to design a piece for their exclusive 20/20 line.

The gallery’s director and renowned design curator Carmen Cordera personally selected Neko and the other studios. These kinds of industrial design projects give us the opportunity to let our imagination roam and to work with materials we do not often use.

The view from our Mexico City office was the inspiration for our design – a spice rack featuring iconic buildings from the city skyline.

The five piece set is presented in a rack featuring the volcanic backdrop of the city. Made in ceramic by Arta Ceramic Studio and powder-coated steel, this limited edition line of products was available exclusively from the Gallery’s shop.
