Ludic Object for National Park Refurbishment Program

This project was a bespoke design for the Ministry for Social Development (SEDESOL), who wanted to turn their ‘Vivir Mejor’ logo into an emblematic ludic object, but go a step further than simply adding the logo onto an existing piece of playground equipment. After extensive searching, they failed to find a solution, and approached Neko because of our experience creating innovative, unique designs.

The shape and colours of the logo make it ideal for a recreational piece, so we converted it into a three-dimensional object, compliant with US guidelines for playground safety. The result was meticulously designed to optimise production processes and reduce cost, while still maintaining the essence of the logo. Our design was selected by the government, and we manufactured and installed over 1200 pieces throughout Mexico for the ‘Rescue of Public Spaces’ Program.
