Copalita eco-archeological park

Signage design and wayfinding project for the landscape architect Mario Schjetnan.

Guiding park visitors

A well thought-out signage system is key to making an urban space work as intended. It helps visitors to flow through the space and maximises their enjoyment of it.

We have worked in collaboration with the renowned landscape architect Mario Schjetnan on many projects, designing signage and street furniture.

For this eco-archaeological park, we designed a full range of bilingual signage elements. These included the main access sign, location maps, directional and restrictive signage, and general explanation signs.

We worked with archaeologists and biologists to create bespoke signposting design and full wayfinding system. The material selection was in keeping with the natural environment. We used materials which blend in yet provide clear directions, while being easy to maintain.

The provision of clear information helps visitors to navigate the site easily. We also provided the graphic design and translations for botanical, zoological and archaeological information.

In the final stage we supervised manufacture, assembly and installation, resulting in a complete finished project.
