Chapultepec signage and urban furniture design

Winner of a prestigious SEGD Jury Award in California in 2009. We designed, manufactured and installed signage and urban furniture, working with the renowned landscape architect Mario Schjetnan. Chapultepec is the largest park in Latin America, attracting over 15 million visitors per year. The project began with extensive studies of visitor flow and behaviour to develop a deep understanding of the park. Then during a six-month design stage we developed a full signage system, as well as urban furniture. The graphics and design were intentionally kept simple and timeless, respecting the historical significance of Chapultepec. The jury of the SEGD awards commented: "The strength of its conception and its powerful execution—as well as the use of a clear and simple, yet relaxed, font—made it immediately appealing".
