Bike school design

This bike school design provides a dedicated area for children and adults to practice riding their bikes before safely taking to the road.

Inspiring future cyclists

Cycling on the road can be a daunting experience at first. Traffic, lack of infrastructure, unexpected hazards. This design provides an adaptable and safe space for cyclists of all ages to safely practice.

The design includes local road markings, signage and common hazards. There is also a seating area, as well as a space for movable objects such as traffic cones. This design can be completely adapted to fit any space.

The space around city cycle hubs is often underused. This bike school design is located next to an intermodal transport hub, to inspire commuters to make the switch to cycling.

To understand the exact requirements, we investigated extensively around this subject and worked with cycling advocacy groups. This helped us to include all of the most common hazards experienced by regular local cyclists and create a more realistic scenario.
